Hi Viola!

Q: How have you been lately?

A: I feel spring in the air and Stockholm has been blessed with sun all day, so I feel amazing and hopeful for this season!

Q: You’re expecting your first child —
how have you experienced pregnancy so far?

A: Honestly it’s been brutal haha! My entire first trimester I was extremely nauseous and tired, and everyone kept
saying it was going to be better in the second trimester. Now as I’m entering my third trimester, I finally feel like
I’m doing okay. Apart from that, it’s so exciting experiencing this whole new chapter of life.
Feeling my baby kick is such a crazy and amazing feeling.

Q: What’s the best thing you’ve done for yourself during this pregnancy?

A: I’m trying to not be so hard on myself, so I guess the best thing I’ve done for myself is to let go of my self-control a little bit. It’s fine if I currently don’t have the perfect diet or workout routine - I’ll be back again some day. Basically telling myself,
it’s ok to not be perfect.

Q: It seems like you have a lot going on –
what does a typical day look like for you right now?

A: I work as a photo producer for an interior design retailer, and spring is a very busy season for us with a heavy
production schedule! If I’m not on set producing a shoot, I usually spend my days in the office planning for
upcoming launches. I love my work and think I will miss it a lot when I go on parental leave.
Out of office, I try to be active by going on walks or pilates class with my friends but it’s fully dependent on my
energy level at the moment. I’m also a home-lover and love to spend time at home with my husband and eating
whatever he cooks for me. I’m a lucky girl.

Q: We can follow you on Instagram under @violahill. What inspires you?

A: The people I meet through my work inspires me a lot. I used to work in fashion and transitioned to design, and both industries keep on fascinating me.

Q: Has pregnancy affected how you see your body?

A: My bump popped quite “late”, so I just felt bloated until kind of recently, which was an awkward period for me.
Now that I feel and look more pregnant, I happily show off the bump and feel very feminine.
Not going to lie — some days are very hard. Feeling beautiful in my body varies from day to day and that’s ok.

Q: What has it been like dressing with a growing bump – has your style changed?

A: In the beginning of pregnancy, I was fully determined to not buy any maternity clothes, but instead sizing up
and just go with my usual style. I finally caved and realised that some maternity wear actually feels so good and
serve their purpose. My pregnancy style is definitely more focused on comfort and good basics.I see it as a fun
challenge to dress the bump and creative ways to style it, and some days I just want to set my whole wardrobe
on fire.  Hormones are apparently the new it-accessory.

Q: When you’re home alone – what do you enjoy doing the most?

A: I just bought a journal to brain-dump everything in, and it has helped my anxiety of becoming a mother through writing and reflecting. It has become a sacred moment for myself that just feels calm and grounding.

Q: Do you have a clothing hack you swear by now with a growing bump?

A: To feel a bit more fancy, I commute to work in comfortable sneakers but change to heels in the office.

Quick questions:

Q: What are you reading?
A: FÖDA by the Britton sisters, to prepare for birth.

Q: What are you listening to?
A: Harry Styles new album “Kiss All The Time. Disco, Occasionally.”

Q: What are you watching?
A: Love Story on Hulu

Q: Lastly – do you have any advice for others going through their first pregnancy?
A:Talk about how you’re feelings and let go of the fear of being judged. It helped me so much through my first half of

pregnancy when I felt so out of place and everything was so abstract. Talk, reflect, and be nice to yourself.
