Hi Cathrine!
Q: How are you these days?
A: I’m actually feeling really good – I’ve gone three days past my due date, but I’m not impatient. I feel lucky that my body still feels strong and calm, and I’m trying to just enjoy this special in-between time. (Due was 22 of may)
Q: What’s the best thing you’ve done for yourself during this pregnancy?
A: Slowing down. I’ve been intentional about creating space to rest, reflect, and really be present with all the changes. That’s been the biggest gift to myself. And also the hardest to actually do.
Q: How has it been dressing with a growing bump?
A: Challenging at times, but also kind of fun. Mostly fun after 5-6 months where the bump got really visible. I’ve leaned into comfort, but I’ve also tried to still feel like “me” when I get dressed.
Q: You work as an editor for Eurowoman – what does a typical day look like for you?
A: Every day is a mix of creative planning, writing, meetings, and working closely with the best team on upcoming issues and SoMe content. It’s fast-paced and inspiring – I love that no two days are the same.
Q: We follow you and your life through @cathlife and your renovation project @vibekevanglife. Have you always had an eye for aesthetics?
A: I think I’ve always been drawn to beauty in all its forms – not perfection, but those little details that create a feeling. Whether it’s interior design, fashion, or photography, I love telling stories through visuals.
Q: What does ‘home’ mean to you?
A: It’s the place where I can exhale. It doesn’t have to be perfect, but it has to feel warm, safe, and personal. Home is where I can be fully myself.
Q: Summer is just around the corner – what are you most looking forward to?
A: Long days with our baby. With my boyfriend, our family and friends. Bare feet in the grass in front of our new apartment, cold drinks on the terrace, and that slow, golden summer feeling.
Q: Do you have any go-to style hacks now that your belly is growing?
A: Yes! Pants have been the trickiest (and I didn’t feel ‘me’ in dresses when pregnant), but I’ve found two fits that work every time + are very comfortable: either second-skin yoga pants with a slight flare at the bottom, or super loose linen trousers with a drawstring that I can place comfortably under the bump. I usually pair them with a fitted top and then throw on an oversized leather jacket or a classic blazer – instant polish.
Q: When do you feel your most beautiful?
A: When I’m with my closest friends or my lovely boyfriend – the people who make me laugh from deep in my belly and help me forget all the to-dos and the harshness of the world.
Q: What’s your favorite thing to do when you’re home alone?
A: I love reading. And at home, it’s best when everything feels somewhat in order, I have relaxing music playing, and I’ve had time for a long, warm bath.
